Marvel fans, the wait is finally over. The “whiskey-swilling” P.I. with a heart of (very cold) gold is officially back. After years of rumors, Marvel Studios executive Brad Winderbaum has confirmed that Krysten Ritter will reprise her iconic role as Jessica Jones in the second season of Daredevil: Born Again.
What’s Been Happening Since the Netflix Era?
The last time we saw Jessica was in 2019, at the end of her third season on Netflix. In the MCU timeline, that’s a gap of nearly eight years. Speaking on The Official Marvel Podcast, Winderbaum teased that the show will address this massive time jump head-on.

More Than Just a Cameo
Unlike brief appearances we’ve seen from other characters, Jessica Jones is expected to be a major player. Reports suggest she will join Matt Murdock’s (Charlie Cox) “resistance” as they fight against Mayor Wilson Fisk’s (Vincent D’Onofrio) tyrannical rule over New York City.
The chemistry between Ritter and Cox was a highlight of the Defenders miniseries, and Charlie Cox himself recently expressed excitement about bringing that “give and take” dynamic back to the screen.
